This year, our Georgina Rose is a blend of Merlot, Riesling, and Viognier. The Merlot was pressed off after spending three days resting on the skins.
Georgina Rosé was named to honour my oldest sister. She is a beautiful woman that loves observing mother nature. Her favourite scent is of “Wild Roses” hence being the perfect wine for us to dedicate to her.
Our Rosé exhibits a soft aroma of grapefruit, strawberries & rhubarb with perhaps a hint of rose petals. It is deliciously crisp, slightly off dry with a refreshing finish.
The Perfect Blend of ~ 80% Merlot, 18% Riesling, 2% Viognier
Rosé will generally work with pâtés, pasta & risotto paired with soft foods like marinated olives, sun dried tomatoes and salmon or pork tenderloin. Our Rosé even pairs perfectly with popcorn while watching the game or an old movie. Never a dull moment!
At brunch, we suggest serving our Rosé to accompany Scrambled Eggs or Quiche Lorraine.
As a first course, try a 50/50 blend of Rosé and Champagne!
